Daance4fun Academy

Daance4fun Academy, Associazione Maestri di Ballo, is a non-profit institution that deals with  dance teachers training, with courses and masterclasses. From dance as fun to Dance Sports, Daance4fun does not set any limits and works with many different styles. From “ballo liscio” to Latin American, from Caribbean dances to country, the types of dance offered in Daance4fun courses are really many.

The association, that is part of the WDO (World Dance Organization), is based in Pavia and, as the website says, has the mission of promoting the dance practice in Italy though:

• The organization of professional championship;
• The organization of training courses and stage for professionals;
• The organization of professional and institutional exams.

To become a member of Dance4fun, you need to send your request to the Counselor, verifying to accept the terms and the aims of the association. The counselor, in a maximum of 30 days, will decide if accept. In addition to the partnership with the World Dance Organization, Dance4fun Academy is also associated with Freedom to Dance, a competition created to emphasize the freedom of dancers to dance in any competition, without fear and discrimination. Freedom to dance organized the first competition in 2012 and, since then, more than twenty nations have joined the project. The diffusion is also due to its presidents, Anna and Richard Gleave, members of the International Council of Dance ( and UNESCO too ).

D4F Amateur

In order to allow anyone to participate to the competitions, Daance4fun launched, in 2019, a project dedicated to all amateurs who wants to get involved. Begun with the inclusion of a Ranking List in Social Dance Competitions, the idea had success and so it has been extended to all classes and disciplines.
